The Saucony Ride 16 belongs to the training category, and with its low weight and springy foam underfoot it invites you to run fast.

This year's edition of the Saucony Ride is a near twin of last year's.

The changes are to be found in the upper, which ventilates better and has an interesting design.

What runners valued in the new Ride has been kept: the brilliant shape of the sole.

The PWRRUN foam sole is light and springy. In its new geometry and with an 8 mm drop, it delivers a smooth transition.

The moderate drop allows a freer landing on the whole foot or the midfoot.

A stronger rocker at the front invites you to pick up the pace.

The insole in this model, made from PWRRUN+ foam, is a shot of pleasant plush softness.

The tread is identical to the previous model and sits in strategic places under the midfoot and along the edges of the heel.

The upper fabric ventilates better and is richly detailed.

From the heel to the middle of the foot, the upper fabric is reinforced with a monofilament material and synthetic imitation leather.

New reflective elements have been added at the front of the upper.

We recommend the Saucony Ride 16 for daily training, long runs and the occasional race for amateurs who are not yet ready to buy dedicated racing shoes.

The cushioning will do its job well for runners up to 80-85 kg.
