The midsole is based on DNA LOFT v3 technology. This is a light foam enriched with nitrogen, which provides even higher and softer cushioning. Newly designed, precise flex grooves make the roll of the foot smooth and the transition to toe-off effortless, with a drop of 10 millimetres.
Traction and abrasion resistance are handled by an outsole made of RoadTack rubber. This innovative blend combines traditional rubber with recycled silica, which brings the weight of the shoe down to 286 grams while keeping it fully durable. In our view it is precisely this outsole that makes the Ghost 17 a great choice not only for asphalt, but also for the occasional run on forest paths.
The upper, made of structured, breathable mesh in a standard width, holds the foot securely and ventilates well without causing chafing. The model is produced sustainably: over 67 percent of the materials used in the upper come from recycling, and the whole product is carbon neutral.
